About
Canine fitness involves teaching skills for understanding, using appropriate equipment, considering handler mechanics, and managing your dog's arousal. All of these factors can impact a dog's form in exercises, however selecting and using appropriate equipment can immediately have a huge positive impact on form. This workshop will use a wide variety of equipment, but there are no compulsory items. This is all about making selections from what you have, or assessing what equipment may be useful to add. This includes canine fitness specific equipment, human fitness equipment, general dog training equipment like cones and target platforms, and using novel items like likimats, and chairs. This workshop will cover: - What is good form? Key indicators - Equipment options - Case studies: examples of form correction with equipment changes - Key exercises form explanation and equipment options (for working students to experiment with their own equipment setup)
